25. Living Passionately

Giving generously in an age of scarcity.

How do you give generously when you have nothing to give away? Giving a percentage of income has declined among US Christians for two decades. With the growing pressures of debt, a creeping rise in the standard of living, and so many worthy causes, Christians feel guilt and no joy in giving. This session will look at the Biblical basis for ³hilarious² giving and use three case studies to illustrate effective changes that unlock generous giving in an age of scarcity. This session counters guilt about saying ³no² with guidance about debt, planning, prayer and the privilege of giving.

Paul Edwards, President, Paul Edwards Consulting, Morrison, Colo.

26.  How to Keep God in, While Keeping Satan Out

Let it be said that the enemy has nothing in you! In John 14:30 Jesus says, “I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in me.”. Can the same be said of you, that the enemy has nothing in you? How does Satan gain influence in our lives? The Bible is clear in telling us how to keep him out and his influence at a distance. This session will help you put a spiritual fence around your life.
